Prayer Wakht
THE NAMES, TIMINGS AND RAKAATS OF THE DAILY SALAH
· Fajr – early dawn prayer before sunrise
· Zohr – after midday prayer
· Asr – late afternoon prayer
· Maghrib – before sunset prayer
· Isha – late evening prayer.
AZAAN - THE MUSLIM CALL TO PRAYER
1. ALLAHU AKBAR – 4 times.
“Allah is the Most Great”
2. ASH-HADU ALLA ILAHA ILL-ALLAH - 2 times.
“I bear witness that there is no one worthy of worship except Allah”
3. ASH-HADU ANNA MUHAMMAD-AR-RASOOLULLAH - 2 times.
- “I bear witness that Muhammad (s.a.w.) is the Messenger of Allah”
4. HAYYA ALAS-SALAH 2 times.
– “Come to Prayer”
5. HAYYA ALAL-FALAH 2 times.
– “Come to Success”
6. ALLAHU AKBAR 2 times.
– “Allah is the Most Great”
7. LAA ILAHA ILL-ALLAH - once
“There is no god but Allah”
When reading the Azaan at the time of Fajr Prayer, also add these words
“AS-SALAATU KHAIRUN-MINAN-NAWM” (Salah is betterthan sleep) after saying
“HAYYA ALAL-FALAH” – to be read
DUA AFTER AZAAN
“Allahumma rabba haazihid-da’wati-taammati wasalatil-qaaimati aati
Muhammadanil-waseelata wal-fadhilata wad-darajatar-rafeeata wabath’hu
maqamam-Mahmooda nillazee wa atthahu warzuqnaa shafa’atahu yawmalqiyaamati
innaka la tukhliful-mee’aad. Birahmatika yaa arhamar-raahimeen”.
“O Allah! Lord of this perfect call and of this standing prayer, grant our leader Hazrat
Muhammad (s.a.w.) his Waseelah (a special place in Paradise) and Fadheelah
(excellence) and the highest rank, and make him stand at the Maqaam-e-Mahmood (the
praiseworthy place) which You have promised him, and make him our intercessor on
the Day of Judgement. Surely You do not go back on Your promise. Have Mercy on
us, for You are the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful!”
DUA AND ZIKR AFTER PRAYER
‘Istighfar’ (asking Allah’s forgiveness) three times after each Salah,
Then
read the Kalima/Article of Faith “La ilaaha illallah” three times,
“Subhaan-Allah” (Glory be to Allah) 33 times,
“Alhamdu-lillah” (Praise be to Allah) 33 times,
and “AllahuAkbar” (Allah is Most Great) 34 times.
Here are two Duas that can be learnt easily
1.
“Allahumma antas-salaamu wa minkas-salaamu wa ilaika yarjius-salaam,
hayyinaa rabbanaa bis-salaami wa adkhilnaa daaras-salaam, tabaarakta
rabbanaa wata aalaita yaa zal-jalaali wal-ikraam”.
(O Allah! You are the Giver of Peace, and peace is from You and Peace
returns to You. O our Lord! Keep us alive in Peace and enter us in to the
House of Peace. You are the Most Blessed and the Most Powerful and the
Most Great.)
2.
“Rabbanaa aatinaa fiddunyaa hasanatan wa fil-aakhirati hasanatan waqinaa
azaaban-naar”.
(O our Lord! We seek goodness from You in this world and the Hereafter and
safety from the punishment of Hell).Labels: Adhan |

|
தக்பீர் தஹ்ரிமா (முதல் தக்பீர்)
Allahu Akbar" (God is Most Great).
அல்லாஹ் அக்பர்
நிலை நிற்பது.
தக்பீர் கட்டியவுடன் தனா ஓதுவது.
கிராத் ஒதுதல்
start reciting surat “al fatiha”, say “ameen” once you finish it, and then start reciting another small surat
தனா:- சுப்ஹான கல்லாஹும்ம வபிஹம்திக்க வதபார கஸ்முக்க வத ஆலாஜத்துக்க வலா இலாஹ கைருக்க
பொருள்: யா அல்லாஹ் நீ பரிசுத்தமானவன் என்று உறுதி கூறுகின்றேன். உன்னை புகழ்கின்றேன். உனது திரு நாமம் உயர்ந்துவிட்டது.
உனது கண்ணியம் உயர்ந்து விட்டது. உன்ணைத் தவிர வணக்கத்திற்குரியவன் யாருமில்லை.
அ ஊது:- அ ஊது பில்லாஹி மினஷ் ஷைத்தானிர்ரஜீம்
பிஸ்மி :- பிஸ்மில்லாஹிர்ரஹ்மானிர்ரஹீம்
அல்ஹம்து சூரா:-
பிஸ்மி :- பிஸ்மில்லாஹிர்ரஹ்மானிர்ரஹீம்
துணை சூரா :-
ருகூவுக்கு குனிவது
saying "Allahu Akbar." Bow (your hands on your knees, back straight, your face toward the ground, saying three times, "Subhana rabbiyal adheem" (Glory be to my Lord Almighty). This position is called (ruku’).
அல்லாஹுஅக்பர் -
மூன்று தஸ்பீஹ் :-சுப்ஹான ரப்பியல் அழீம்
பொருள்: கண்ணியமிக்க எனது ரட்சகன் தூய்மையானவன்
இஃதிதால் நிலை நிற்பது
Rise back to standing while saying "Sami’a Allahu liman hamidah, Rabbana wa lakal hamd" (God hears those who call upon Him; Our Lord, praise be to You).
சமிஅல்லாஹுலிமன் ஹமிதஹ் ; ரப்பனா லக்கல் ஹம்து.
பொருள்: புகழ்பவரின் புகழை அல்லாஹ் கேட்கின்றான். யா அல்லாஹ் எல்லாப் புகழும் உனக்கே உரித்தானது.
சுஜுது செய்தல்
saying "Allahu Akbar" then descend to the ground "Subhana Rabbiyal A'ala" (Glory be to my Lord, the Most High). This position is called “sujud”
அல்லாஹுஅக்பர் -
மூன்று தஸ்பீஹ் :- சுப்ஹான ரப்பியல் அஃலா
மிக உயர்வான எனது ரட்சகன் பரிசுத்தமானவன்
சிறு இருப்புக்கு வருவது
Rise to a sitting position (see picture), saying "Allahu Akbar."
அல்லாஹுஅக்பர் -
இரண்டாம் சுஜுது செய்தல்
Then prostrate back on the ground, while your face on the ground say three times "Subhana Rabbiyal A'ala"
அல்லாஹுஅக்பர் -
மூன்று தஸ்பீஹ் :- சுப்ஹான ரப்பியல் அஃலா
மிக உயர்வான எனது ரட்சகன் பரிசுத்தமானவன்
அத்தஹியாத்து ஓதுதல்
அத்தஹியாத்து :- அத்தஹிய்யாத்து லில்லாஹி வஸ்ஸலவாத்து வத்தய்யிபாத்து அஸ்ஸலாமு அலைக்க அய்யுஹன்னபிய்யு வரஹ்மத்துல்லாஹி வ பரகாத்துஹு அஸ்ஸலாமு அலைனா வ அலா இபாதில்ல்லாஹிஸ் ஸாலிஹூன் அஷ்ஹது அன்லா இலாஹ இல்லல்லாஹு வ அஷ்ஹது அன்ன முஹம்மதன் அப்துஹு வ ரசூலுஹூ.
பொருள்: சொல்லாலும் உடலாலும், பொருளாலும் செய்யக்கூடிய எல்லா வணக்கங்களையும், அல்லாஹுத ஆலாவுக்கே காணிக்கையாக்குகிறேன். நபியே! உங்கள் மீது அல்லாஹ்வின் சாந்தியும், அருளும், பாக்கியங்களும் உண்டாகட்டுமாக!.
அல்லாஹ்வின் சாந்தி எங்கள் மீதும் அல்லாஹ்வின் நல்லடியார்கள் மீதும் உண்டாகட்டுமாக! வணக்கத்திற்குரியவன் அல்லாஹுத்த அலாவைத் தவிர வேறு யாருமில்லை என்று சாட்சி கூறுகிறேன். இன்னும், முஹம்மது (ஸல்) அவர்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுடைய அடியாரும், திருத்தூதருமாவார்கள் என்று சாட்சி கூறுகிறேன்.
அல்லாஹும்ம ஸல்லி அலா முஹம்மதின் வ அலா ஆலி முஹம்மதின் கமா ஸல்லைத்த அலா இப்ராஹீம வா அலா ஆலி இப்ராஹீம இன்னக்க
ஹமீதுன் மஜீத் வபாரிக் அலா முஹம்மதின் வ அலா ஆலி முஹம்மதின் கமா பாரக்த்த அலா இப்ராஹீம வ அலா ஆலி இப்ராஹீம
இன்னக்க ஹமீதுன் மஜீத்.
பொருள்: யா அல்லாஹ்! நீ இப்ராஹிம் (அலை) அவர்களுக்கும், அவர்களின் சந்ததிகளுக்கும் அருள் புரிந்ததைப் போல முஹம்மது(ஸல்) அவர்கள் மீதும்,
அவர்களின் சந்ததிகள் மீதும் அருள் புரிவாயாக! நீ புகழுக்குரியவனாகவும் பெரும் அந்தஸ்துக்குரியவனாகவும் இருக்கிறாய். இன்னும் இப்ராஹிம்(அலை) அவர்கள் மீதும், அவர்களின் சந்ததிகள் மீதும் பரக்கத் செய்ததை போன்று முஹம்மது (ஸல்) அவர்கள் மீதும் அவர்கள் சந்ததிகளின் மீதும் பரக்கத் செய்வாயாக, நீ புகழுக்குரியவனாகவும் பெரும் அந்தஸ்துக்குரியவனாகவும் இருக்கிறாய்.
அல்லாஹும்மஹ்ஃபிர்லீ வலிவாலிதய்ய, வலி உஸ்தாதீ வலி ஜமீஇல் முஃமினீன வல் முஃமினாத்தி வல் முஸ்லிமீன வல் முஸ்லிமாத்தி அல் அஹ்யாயி மின் ஹும் வல் அம்வாத்தி இன்னக்க முஜீபுத் தஃவாத்தி பிரஹ்மத்திக்க யா அர்ஹமர்ராஹிமீன்.
பொருள்:- எனக்கும், எனது பெற்றோருக்கும் எனது ஆசிரியருக்கும், உயிர் வாழக்கூடிய, மரணித்துவிட்ட எல்லா முஃமின் முஸ்லிம்களுக்கும் பிழை பொருத்தருள்வாயாக!. நீ துஆக்களை ஏற்றுக் கொள்பவனாக இருக்கிறாய். கிருபையாளர்களில் மிகக் கிருபையாளனே! உனது கிருபையைக் கொண்டு உன்னிடத்தில் கேட்கிறேன்.
சலாம் சொல்வது
அஸ்ஸலாமு அலைக்கும் வரஹ்மத்துல்லாஹ்
வலது பக்கமும் இடது பக்கமும் உள்ள மலக்குகளை நிய்யத் செய்து முகத்தை திருப்ப வேண்டும்.Labels: Prayer steps |

தொழுகை ஷர்த்துக்கள்
1. உடல் சுத்தம்
2. உடை சுத்தம்.
3. இடம் சுத்தம்
4. அவ்ரத் - மறைக்க வேண்டிய இடங்களை மறைத்தல்.
5. தொழுகை நேரம் வருவதை அறிந்து இருப்பது
6. கிப்லாவை முன்னோக்குதல்
7. நிய்யத் செய்தல்.
நிய்யத் மொழியும் முறை:-
1.தொழுகை ஃபர்ளு அல்லது வாஜிப் குறிப்பிடுவது
2. இமாமை பின் பற்றினால் குறிப்பிடுவது
3. வக்து, ரக் அத்துகளின் எண்ணிக்கை குறிப்பிடுவது
4. கிப்லாவை முன்னோக்குதல் குறிப்பிடுவது
5. அல்லாஹ்விற்காக தொழுகிறேன்
தொழுகை விபரம் :-
1.தக்பீர் தஹ்ரிமா (முதல் தக்பீர்) கட்டுவதற்கு இரு கைகளையும் உயர்த்துதல்
2. விரல்களை விரித்து வைத்திருத்தல்.
3. தக்பீர் தஹ்ரிமா (அல்லாஹ் அக்பர்) கூறுதல்.
4. தக்பீர் சொல்லும் போது தலையை தாழ்த்தாமல் இருத்தல்
5. தக்பீர் தஹ்ரிமாவை இமாம் சப்தமிட்டு சொல்வது.
6. தக்பீர் கட்டுதல்
7. நிலை நிற்பது.
8. தக்பீர் கட்டியவுடன் தனா ஓதுவது.
9. அ ஊது பில்லாஹி மினஷ் ஷைத்தானிர்ரஜீம் ஒதுவது
11. கிராத் ஒதுதல்
12. பிஸ்மில்லாஹிர்ரஹ்மானிர்ரஹீம் ஒதுவது.
13. அல்ஹம்து சூரா ஓதுதல்
14. அல்ஹம்து சூரா ஒதியதும் ஆமீன் சொல்வது
14. பிஸ்மில்லாஹிர்ரஹ்மானிர்ரஹீம் ஒதி, துணை சூரா ஒதுதல் (3 சிறிய ஆயத்துக்கள் குறைந்த பட்சம்)
15. அல்ஹம்து சூரா முந்தியும், துனை சூரா பிந்தியும் ஒதுவது.
16. தனா, அ ஊது, பிஸ்மி, ஆமீன் சப்தமில்லாமல் சொல்வது
17. அல்லாஹு அக்பர் தக்பீர் சொல்லி ருகூவுக்கு குனிவது.
18. குனியும் போது தலையும் இடுப்பும் நேராக அமைவது.
19. ருகூவில் மூன்று முறை தஸ்பீஹ் ஒதுதல்
20. ருகூவில் இரு கைகளையும் முட்டுக்கால்களை பிடிப்பது.
21. ருகூவிலிருந்து எழும்போது ஸமிஅல்லாஹுலிமன் ஹமிதஹ் என்றும், ரப்பனா லக்கல்ஹம்து என்றும் சொல்வது.
22. இமாமை பின் பற்றுவர்கள் ரப்பனா லக்கல்ஹம்து மட்டும் சொல்வது
23. இஃதிதால் நிலை நிற்பது
24. அல்லாஹுஅக்பர் தக்பீர் சொல்லி சுஜுது செய்தல்
25. சுஜுதில் இரு கைகள், முட்டுகால்கள், நெற்றி, மூக்கு, கால்விரல்கள் பூமியில் வைக்க வேண்டும்.
26. சுஜுதில் மூன்று தஸ்பீஹ் ஓதுதல்
27. அல்லாஹ் அக்பர் தக்பீர் சொல்லி சிறு இருப்புக்கு வருவது
28. அல்லாஹ் அக்பர் தக்பீர் சொல்லி இரண்டாம் சுஜுதுக்கு செய்தல்
29. இரண்டாவது ரக்-அத்துக்கு அல்லாஹ் அக்பர் தக்பீர் சொல்லி நிலை நிற்பது
30. இரண்டாம் ரக்-அத்துவில் கிராத் ஒதுதல்
31. பிஸ்மில்லாஹிர்ரஹ்மானிர்ரஹீம் ஒதுவது.
32. அல்ஹம்து சூரா ஓதுதல்
33. அல்ஹம்து சூரா ஒதியதும் ஆமீன் சொல்வது
34. பிஸ்மில்லாஹிர்ரஹ்மானிர்ரஹீம் ஒதி, துணை சூரா ஒதுதல் (3 சிறிய ஆயத்துக்கள் குறைந்த பட்சம்)
35. ருகு, இஃதிதால், இரண்டு சுஜூது பிறகு அத்தஹியாத்து நிலை இருப்பது
36. அத்தஹியாத்து இருப்பில் இடது காலை விரித்து அதன் மீது உட்காருவது
37. அத்தஹியாத்து ஓதுதல்
38. இரண்டுக்கும் அதிகமான தொழுகையில் அத்தஹியாத்து ஒதியதும் மூன்றாவது ரகத்துக்கு தாமதிக்கமல் எழுவது.
39. கடைசி இருப்பில் நபி (ஸல்) அவர்கள் மீது ஸலவாத் ஒதுவது
40. தொழுகை முடிக்கும் போது சலாம் சொல்வது. வலது பக்கம், இடது பக்கமும் சொல்லி தோள் புஜங்களை பார்ப்பது. அஸ்ஸலாமு அலைக்கும் வரஹ்மத்துல்லாஹ்.வலது பக்கமும் இடது பக்கமும் உள்ள மலக்குகளை நிய்யத் செய்து முகத்தை திருப்ப வேண்டும்.
al-Fatihah, al-Fatiha, al fatiha (The Opening)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bismi allaahi arrahmaani arrahiim
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
الْحَمْدُ للّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
alhamdu lillaahi rabbi al'aalamiin
[1:2] Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds;
الرَّحْمـنِ الرَّحِيمِ
arrahmaani arrahiim
[1:3] Most Gracious, Most Merciful;
مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ
maaliki yawmi addiin
[1:4] Master of the Day of Judgment.
إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ
iyyaaka na'budu wa-iyyaaka nasta'iin
[1:5] Thee do we worship, and Thine aid we seek.
اهدِنَــــا الصِّرَاطَ المُستَقِيمَ
ihdinaa assiraata almustaqiim
[1:6] Show us the straight way,
صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنعَمتَ عَلَيهِمْ غَيرِ المَغضُوبِ عَلَيهِمْ وَلاَ الضَّالِّينَ
siraata alladziina an'amta 'alayhim ghayri almaghdhuubi 'alayhim walaa adhdhaalliin
1:7] The way of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace, those whose (portion) is not wrath, and who go not astray.
al-Ikhlas, al ikhlas, at-Tauhid, at-Tawhid Tauhid (The Unity)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bismi allaahi arrahmaani arrahiim
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ
qul huwa allaahu ahad
[112:1] Say: He is Allah, the One and Only;
اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ
allaahu assamad
[112:2] Allah, the Eternal, Absolute;
لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ
lam yalid walam yuulad
[112:3] He begetteth not, nor is He begotten;
وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ كُفُواً أَحَدٌ
walam yakun lahu kufuwan ahad
[112:4] And there is none like unto Him.
al-Kauthar al-Kauther (a River in Paradise, Abundance, Plenty)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bismi allaahi arrahmaani arrahiim
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
إِنَّا أَعْطَيْنَاكَ الْكَوْثَرَ
innaa a'thaynaaka alkawtsar
[108:1] To thee have We granted the Fount (of Abundance).
فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَانْحَرْ
fasalli lirabbika wainhar
[108:2] Therefore to thy Lord turn in Prayer and Sacrifice.
إِنَّ شَانِئَكَ هُوَ الْأَبْتَرُ
inna shaani-aka huwa al-abtar
[108:3] For he who hateth thee, he will be cut off (from Future Hope).
an-Nas, annas, an naas (Mankind)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bismi allaahi arrahmaani arrahiim
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ
qul a'uudzu birabbi annaas
[114:1] Say: I seek refuge with the Lord and Cherisher of Mankind,
مَلِكِ النَّاسِ
maliki annaas
[114:2] The King (or Ruler) of Mankind,
إِلَهِ النَّاسِ
ilaahi annaas
[114:3] The god (or judge) of Mankind,-
مِن شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ
min sharri alwaswaasi alkhannaas
[114:4] From the mischief of the Whisperer (of Evil), who withdraws (after his whisper),-
الَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ النَّاسِ
alladzii yuwaswisu fii suduuri annaas
[114:5] (The same) who whispers into the hearts of Mankind,-
مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَ النَّاسِ
mina aljinnati walnnaas
[114:6] Among Jinns and among men.
al-Falaq, al falaq (The Daybreak, Dawn)
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ
bismi allaahi arrahmaani arrahiim
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ
qul a'uudzu birabbi alfalaq
[113:1] Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of the Dawn
مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ
min sharri maa khalaq
[113:2] From the mischief of created things;
وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ
wamin sharri ghaasiqin idzaa waqab
[113:3] From the mischief of Darkness as it overspreads;
وَمِن شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ
wamin sharri annaffaatsaati fii al'uqad
[113:4] From the mischief of those who practise secret arts;
وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ
wamin sharri haasidin idzaa hasad
